We are pleased to announce the official launch of new Executive and Internal Champion Toolkits to guide racial equity efforts! These toolkits are designed specifically for TechTown pledge company members and align with our cohorts (launching this summer) to help these members apply this material.
Your company plays a critical role in the effort to advance racial equity. Moving toward racial justice is a vital and challenging undertaking that we must do collectively. The toolkits provide effective strategies to help you address racial equity and cultural change within your organization.
Whether you are a company leader or internal champion, shifting your organization to be more inclusive for employees of color takes persistence, resilience, and tenacity. It takes a group of people who know that this work is critical and are ready to do what’s necessary. It takes you.
These kits are designed to be a starting point to help you understand this work. However, the secret sauce to them is combining the content with our new cohorts (launching this summer), which will allow company leaders and internal champions to put this important racial equity information into action through the support of a guided, constructive, classroom-style setting.
If you are not a Pledge member or are unable to participate in the cohort, we recommend these toolkits be used in conjunction with professional racial equity experts and practitioners. This will allow you to gain a deeper understanding and to apply the content to your workplace.
TechTown’s new cohort will feature an in-depth intensive learning space where we explore these toolkits chapter by chapter with direct Q&A with Court Morse, Traded Sector Business Equity & Inclusion Program Manager at Prosper Portland. Similar to a DEI class, cohort participants will get coaching and in-person support as they work through each elements of their respective toolkit.
More details about this cohort will be available soon. Complete our Access Toolkit form to get details when they are available.
These toolkits are available at no additional cost to the general public. Cohort participation is reserved to employees at TechTown companies. If your company is not currently a TechTown member begin the process to join today!
